KCL Supervisors Competency Framework

Supervisors’ Competency Framework for the CYP-PT Workforce

This roots in competency frameworks from Roth and Pilling (2015) and incorporates Milne (2014) with items added and adapted for relevance to those working with children, adolescents, families and wider systems.

The excel file can be navigated using the Tabs: The first tab is a summary which automatically populates once you rate the other four tabs (Core Competencies; Case Management; Clinical Supervision Skills and Service Competencies).

You can flag any individual items as N/A or FLAG to highlight any that you want to focus on.

Competencies can be rated at the beginning, middle and end of the course or as a process of self-reflection as a supervisor not on the course. You can use the rating scale to identify or monitor goals for developing your supervision practice.

KCL Development Team: Dr Anna Redfern, Dr Jessica Richardson, Dr Carolyn Edwards, Michael Annan.
