About the Course
King’s College London (KCL) have set up a formal consortium to deliver the London CYP IAPT training (Children and Young Peoples, Improving Access to Psychological Therapies) for further information please visit the CYP MH Workforce Development Website. Courses are delivered to current Managers, Supervisors and Therapists of selected CAMHS services, which have formed a collaborative group for London and the South-East of England.
This course if for CYPMH and Wellbeing leaders and mangers across health, social care, and education within in the NHS, schools, others statutory and third sectors. This focus of the course is to provide leaders and managers with an effective learning environment and toolkit by which to deliver their service change and transformations objectives. The course will benefit anyone in a leadership role implementing change in CYPMH and Wellbeing provision including:
- Senior school staff involved in the EMHP and Mental Health Teams in schools,
- Clinical Leads in NHS CAMHS implementing CYP IAPT and/or the CWP programme
- Commissioners and Social Care leads who are driving service transformation
- Managers and Senior Clinicians in CYPMH & Wellbeing charities and third sector organisations

When to apply
The KCL application portal will open on the 1st August 2024. The deadline for applications is Monday 25th November 2024.
Teaching for the Leadership course will start on Monday 13th January 2025.
Entry requirements
- Qualifications: Normally, a minimum of a second-class Bachelor’s degree from a UK university or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard in a relavent academic subject (e.g. Psychology, Education, Childhood Development, Social Work, etc), OR any subject with further training or experience in a relevant field (e.g. Teaching/TA; Learning Support; HCA; Youth Work; Counselling, etc)*
AND/OR a registerable professional qualification in a relevant subject ( e.g. medicine, psychology, social work ) from a UK university of overseas professional qualification of an equivalent standards. Candidates without a degree but with a minimum 3 years professional experience in a CYP service setting together with a relevant professional qualification will also be considered.
